About
WOWLEAP Inc., is an organization founded and managed by women with disabilities since 2000. It was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission in 2001 and accredited by the Department of Labor and Employment in 2013 as a partner in the implementation of livelihood and skills development projects.

WOWLEAP was supported by the Global Fund for Women in expanding its membership by supporting Leadership Development and Organizing Women with disabilities in 17 regions. The Regional Cluster Leaders promote the organization of women with disabilities in every municipality to gain representation in municipal provincial and regional federations.

Our Mission
1. To become a sustainable resource organization that facilitates access of women with disabilities to resources necessary for their active participation in social, economic, cultural and political activities in their communities.​

2. Advocate for inclusive, gender and disability sensitive policies, programs, and services in accordance with the UNCRPD ​

3. Capacitate all stakeholders, especially organizations of persons with disabilities to implement disability-inclusive policies, programs, and services.​


Our Goals

To link women with disabilities to basic rehabilitation services, education, training, employment and other opportunities necessary for their personal development.​

To develop leadership among women with disabilities to encourage their active participation in organization and sector development ​

To promote the participation of women and girls with disabilities in community activities such as sports, recreation, arts, culture, spiritual and other aspects of their daily life.​

To create linkages and partnerships with public and private sectors in terms of policy formulation and implementation, resource mobilization​
Our Partners
WOWLEAP acknowledges partners who supported the organization from the beginning to achieve the present status we have.

From 2002 to 2006, the Global Fund for Women Supported the Membership Orientation and Leadership Development of WOWLEAP. The beneficiaries of the project are women with disability leaders who emerged from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao who responded to the call to lead the organizing of women with disabilities in their respective areas. About 120 women with disabilities participated in regional seminars in Leadership and Organizing and now forming the Core Group of WOWLEAP National Network of Women with Disabilities.
