WOWLEAP Inc. proudly participated in "Kumustahan to the Max," last June 25, 2026

organized by LENTE (Legal Network for Truthful Elections), bringing together representatives from various vulnerable sectors, civil society organizations, government agencies, and electoral stakeholders to discuss and strengthen the proposed House Bill entitled:
"An Act Ensuring the Effective Exercise of the Right to Vote and to Be Elected to Public Office of Members of Vulnerable Sectors, Institutionalizing the Vulnerable Sectors Office, and Appropriating Funds Therefor."
The consultation served as an important platform for stakeholders to share insights and recommendations aimed at making the proposed legislation more inclusive, responsive, and reflective of the realities faced by vulnerable sectors, particularly persons with disabilities.
Among the key recommendations discussed were the inclusion of
stronger provisions on accessibility and reasonable accommodation throughout the electoral process;
mandatory representation of vulnerable sectors in the governance and advisory mechanisms of the Vulnerable Sectors Office;
accessible voter education and election information in multiple formats;
institutionalized consultation with organizations of persons with disabilities and other vulnerable sectors; and
strengthened accountability and monitoring mechanisms to ensure disability-inclusive elections.
Representing WOWLEAP Inc. in the consultation were Dr. Maureen Ava Mata and Dr. Maria Luisa Ronquillo, who attended onsite, while Ms. Jennifer Anacio participated online. Together, they contributed to the dialogue by advocating for meaningful participation, equal political rights, and the institutionalization of measures that will ensure accessible and inclusive elections for all Filipinos.
WOWLEAP Inc. remains steadfast in its commitment to promoting disability inclusion, advancing the rights of vulnerable sectors, and supporting policies that uphold equal participation in democratic governance. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with our partners and stakeholders in building an electoral system where every Filipino can fully exercise the right to vote and the right to be elected.
Together, we champion inclusive democracy—because every voice matters, and every vote counts.
